Business Owner

I run an award winning resource management consultancy, established in Palmerston North more than 17 years ago.

I bring knowledge and experience in resource management, research, reporting and conservation projects.

Professional

My professional background is in Resource Management and Science. I’ve worked in local government, research and industry sectors, and with NGOs, Iwi, community organisations and businesses.

I have a Degree in Physical Geography and a Science Certificate from Massey University, I’m a qualified Resolution Institute mediator, an Associate Member of the New Zealand Planning Institute and an Accredited Resource Management Hearing Commissioner.

Community Values

I believe in community spirit and working together. It has been an absolute honour to serve our community as a Councillor at Horizons Regional Council for two terms now, since 2019.

During that time I have championed and delivered on: biodiversity, climate action, environmental education, community partnerships and funding opportunities, and systems improvements. There is more to do and I have much more to give.

I’m an Ambassador to the Jane Goodall Institute New Zealand and have served on the Board of the Palmerston North City Environmental Trust & Reel Earth Environmental Film Festival.

Local Heart

I love Palmy! I moved from Whanganui to Palmerston North in 1991 to attend Massey University, and stayed. My husband and I really enjoy raising our two children in Palmerston North.

As a local resident, business owner and a Mum, I place great value on local decision making.

Strong Voice

I deliver – I’m not one to shy away from hard work, seeking answers or speaking up on the important stuff.

Accountability and transparency are top of my list when it comes to expectations around leadership qualities.
